If you've swapped to the Classic version of outlook, and you were previously using New Outlook, or just using OWA, it may not always move your signature over properly. If this is the case, here are some quick and easy steps to recover the signature that you were once using. This can also be helpful for you to just learn how to create signatures in Outlook Classic if you're not sure how.

  1. Find an email that you sent  that had your correct signature in your "sent items".
  2. Copy the whole signature that is in there.
  3. in the search bar up top search "signature" and it will show a section that says "Actions" and under that there should be an item that says "Signature" with an > on the right side. It'll look like this:
  4. put your mouse over it like I did above and then click "Signatures..."
  5. From there you will click "New" if there isn't a signature there and type in a name for your signature. The name of the signature doesn't really matter. If the correct signature is already there you can skip the next step.
  6. Paste the signature you copied in the big box below and hit the Save button.
  7. Under "Choose default signature" click the dropdown boxes in both areas and select the name of that signature in both of them.
  8. You can hit "Save" again (if it lets you, if it doesn't don't worry about it) and then click "OK". Your screen should look like mine below, but with your information in the boxes. You can test composing a new email and see if it attaches, or even try replying to an email and see if it attaches. You can always come back here and edit your signature if you need to.
